PCALU
A proud lifelong resident of East Chattanooga, PCALU has spent more than 50 years rooted in the Glass Farms neighborhood — learning from its history, embracing its culture, and investing in its future. As a child, he walked from his home through the neighborhood to East Chattanooga Elementary School before its permanent closure, experiences that helped shape his lasting connection to the community.
PCALU carries vivid memories of the strong sense of togetherness that once defined the neighborhood. Through his work with Glass Roots, he is dedicated to rebuilding the village spirit within Glass Farms by creating spaces that foster culture, creativity, connection, and opportunity.
Throughout his life, PCALU has devoted himself to the arts, youth mentorship, and community empowerment. Leading through action, he uses creativity, service, and cultural expression to inspire others, uplift future generations, and preserve the legacy and pride of East Chattanooga.

Kourtney Brown
Born and raised in East Chattanooga, Kourtney has found his purpose in building community through creative expression and the arts. As a child, he discovered his passion for art and practiced his talents as he grew into the man he is today. He found a place to lay his foundation at Studio Everything, a creative resource studio located on Glass Street. While many of his peers went in different directions, Kourtney spent countless late nights in the studio developing his craft and creating meaningful works of art that tell stories about his personal experience and the universal human experience.
Over the years, he has used his artistic talents to create positive change within the community by facilitating creative workshops and spearheading the documentary platform tiltled Stories of Resilience, amplifying the voices, experiences, and resilience of inner city community residents.
Kourtney brings a lifelong love for Glass Farms and a vision for a more vibrant, connected arts community — one rooted in creativity, culture, and collective empowerment.
